Election drama, after all

Chiho rang me up last night around 9:00 to inform me that both Brett and Kristina had lost their races. Wow!

I can understand Brett losing, as Stefan did mount a competent campaign. Nearly every time I was near Red Square I could see him with his huge sign, and he was always talking with the people that were loitering about in the sunshine. Stefan's quite dedicated -- I'm happy for him, even though I wish Brett had won.

I'm very surprised that Antasia beat Kristina, though. Antasia wasn't nearly as visible as Kristina, and didn't seem to send a message as appealing as Kristina's. She also was not as qualified as Kristina, and purported to be a member of the Washington Student Lobby when in fact she had only attended a few meetings. I thought I could attribute this election upset to anti-AS sentiment, but Nate's win destroys that theory. Riley ran the most heavily anti-establishment campaign, calling for 'new blood' in the AS, but he lost by the biggest margins.

What's more, there's some more drama in store that I'm not even allowed to blog about!
